Are dogs allowed into the museum?
Dogs are allowed into the museum, provided they are kept on the lead.
Is there anywhere to eat in the museum?
The Ecomusée d'Alsace has 3 eating places – The La Taverne and the Auberge d’Hégenheim restaurants serve regional and seasonal specialties. You’ll find bread, tartes flambées, snacks and cakes at the bakery.
If you want a picnic, there are several areas set aside for your use in the museum grounds. Find out more in the “Accommodation and food” section.
What are the museum opening days and times?

How long does it take to go round the Écomusée d'Alsace?
The museum is a large place, with 74 buildings spread over more than 10 ha and you will probably need at least half a day to go round the whole of the museum. You can also spend all day there as there are always events and activities from morning through to evening.
Does the museum offer disabled access?
Disabled visitors are welcome to bring their wheelchairs into the museum. Some of the buildings, however, do not have disabled access, while the roads and paths within the museum are gravel covered.
Wheelchairs are also available at the entrance to the Écomusée d’Alsace. The museum has toilet facilities for disabled visitors.
How can I donate an object to the Écomusée d'Alsace?
The Écomusée d'Alsace accepts gifts of antique Alsatian objects. Find out more in the “Donating objects or funds” section.
Are scooters accepted on the site ?
Scooters, balance bikes and small children's bikes are not accepted in the museum as welle as balloons or other games that could damaged our collectibles.
Can you take wedding photos at the Écomusée d'Alsace?
